Studio Etiquette
As the GMPA community, we respect ourselves, each other, and our studio space.
In order to provide the best performing arts instruction possible, it is important that students and their families know what is expected while at the studio. We have limited time for , we would like to spend as much time as possible on instruction and practice.
Please review the following etiquette guidelines with your student.

In order to provide the best performing arts instruction possible, it is important that students and their families know what is expected while at the studio. We have limited time for , we would like to spend as much time as possible on instruction and practice.
Please review the following etiquette guidelines with your student.
Students can show respect for themselves by:
- Being on time and prepared for class with a water bottle, the proper clothing and shoes, and long hair tied back
- Having a positive attitude and trying their hardest in class.
- Saving conversation for outside of class
- Waiting quietly for a turn
- Only saying kind things
- Keeping hands and feet to themselves
- Entering the studio rooms quietly
- Always walking behind dancers who are dancing (instead of between them and mirrors/teachers.
- Listening when the teacher speaks
- Always asking to leave the room for any reason.
- Trying their hardest to finish each exercise, even when it’s something challenging or new.
- Keeping their belongings zipped in their dance bag
- Removing and stowing street shoes in the entryway
- Cleaning up after themselves (this includes snacks, play materials, clothing).
- Walking and dancing feet only.
- Keeping food and non-water drinks in the lobby.
