When am I able to attend GMPA?
We ask our families and students to follow the guidance from the VDH just as schools are also using.
New Guidance on Isolation and Quarantine
The following is updated guidance that came from the VDH December 2021. You can review the VDH website for this guidance on isolation and what to do if you are a close contact.
○ If you are not vaccinated, or completed your Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series more than 6 months ago and have not had a booster shot or completed your Johnson & Johnson vaccine series more than 2 months ago and have not had a booster shot you will need to quarantine if you are identified as a close contact. Close contact quarantine timelines and expectations can be found on the VDH website.
Test To Stay: If your student has been identified as a close contact and they are utilizing the Test to Stay program as an unvaccinated individual at school, they are not eligible to attend after school activities at GMPA until they are out of quarantine as defined above.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INFORMATION
AIR PURIFICATION: Each studio is equipped with a medical grade air filtration system. The windows in the lobby remain open for airflow as temperatures permit.
Masks: All persons in the building should have a mask on at all times, regardless of vaccination status. This is including while dancing, unless they are unable to due to health reasons. Double Masking or use of an N-95 is currently recommended for safety. We have individual disposable masks that students can add in under cloth masks that will be made available at the door as needed.
Social Distancing: The studios are marked for social distancing for every aspect of dance class. For January, Aftercare will move to solo activities or group activities that can be done from socially distanced mats.
Class Sizes: In Person class sizes are limited to 12 students in the large (Purple) studio, 8 students in the small (Red) studio and 11 students in aftercare.
Health Guidelines: All persons entering the building need to be healthy, have no symptoms of sickness, nor have been exposed to anyone who is sick. No persons may attend GMPA if they have been identified as a close contact until they are out of quarantine and have had a negative PCR test.
Drive Thru Drop Off: To ensure students are able to get to class on time, our drive through is for drop off only. All students not coming on the bus or driving themselves should be dropped off in our Drive-Thru drop off.
Pick Up: For pick up, please park in the parking lot and we will send your child out to you. For younger students, we will bring your child out to you.
Lobby: Our waiting rooms are currently closed. Students should arrive close to the start of class time and leave the building immediately after- so please be sure to be on time for pick up.
Hybrid classes: In the event of temporary closure, all classes will be continued via online streaming.
