​Troupe 2024-25

What is Performance/Competition Troupe? 

This is a group of dedicated dancers who take classes in multiple styles and are interested in competitions and additional performance opportunities.  This group learns multiple dances (Hip Hop, Contemporary & Jazz) throughout the year that they take to local competitions as well as perform in local community events. These dancers also get the option to attend out of state dance conventions to help further their training. This is a longer class that will include a strengthening and conditioning portion to work on building muscles and technique that will help with all styles of dance.


What are the requirements to participate in Troupe?

• Must have at least 2 years of dance experience in the following styles: Hip Hop & Modern/Contemporary

 

• Troupe Summer Intensive/ Audition - This intensive is open to all dancers ages 11-18 who are interested in being a part of our 2024-25 Performance/ Competition Troupes. During this intensive dancer will be participating in Hip Hop, Modern, strengthening and conditioning classes taught by Jenna or Fiona. Classes taken during the week are to provide dancers with the training and preparation for the Audition Placement that will be taking place on Friday, August 9th. The audition process will be judged by outside highly qualified dancers/teachers who will help determine what Troupe Team will be the best fit for the dancer based on age, level and experience. All dancers/families will receive a packet with all information for the year prior to this event. 

 

• Must take an additional Hip Hop and Modern class throughout the week - additional recommended classes but not required: Ballet & Tap/Jazz

 

• Must be committed to the dates of competitions and outside local performances (received at the beginning of the year)​
