SUPPORT GMPA
GMPA’s mission is to enhance community cultural vitality by providing fully accessible dance, theatre, and music education in a creative and supportive environment to people of all ages, with a focus on children and youth. Formerly One Studio Dance and Yoga, GMPA was chartered as a charitable and educational not-for-profit organization in October, 2011; today, GMPA serves its more than 200 students each semester with a diverse mix of educational offerings, including ballet and classical, Celtic, hip-hop, jazz, and modern dance; theater arts; and after school programs. GMPA works closely with the Washington West Supervisory Union of schools and other affiliates to develop meaningful, long-lasting partnerships with a variety of local organizations. Our funders, and our volunteers, support our mission to make creative movement available to all, young and old. If you are a donor to GMPA, either of money or of time, we thank you for your support! If you are not, and would like more information on how to become involved—or if you have questions about giving to GMPA—please contact Heather Morris, Executive Director, at 802-244-8600 or at gmpavt@gmail.com.

MEANINGFUL WAYS TO GIVE TO GMPA:

General Operating Support: Monthly expenses such as utility bills and cleaning supplies are vital parts of GMPA’s operation—and you can help us pay for them. This category of fully tax-deductible giving provides GMPA with critical support that takes the worry out of paying our monthly bills, and helps us maintain our commitment to providing excellence in performing arts education in a non-competitive and supportive environment to students of all levels of ability—including adaptive dance. If your employer offers a matching gift option—and many do—you could double the reach of your gift!

Event Sponsorship: GMPA offers community events and performances throughout the year. These provide both a key source of support for our program and an opportunity to showcase our students’ talents. Take a look at our events page, and choose an event you’d like to help underwrite as an individual or corporate sponsor.

Scholarship Support: The Taber Merchant Scholarship Fund was inaugurated by the generous family of a former GMPA student to provide need-based scholarships, and a limited number of merit-based scholarships, to deserving children and youth. Your tax-deductible donation will help us make sure that we never have to turn away a student in need.

TD Affinity Membership Program: Help support our fundraising efforts by joining TD Bank’s Affinity Membership Program. Your participation earns us an annual donation based on the number of members enrolled. If you have an existing account with TD Bank, or open a new account, just give them GMPA’s name and they’ll take care of the rest.

If you’d like to donate now, thank you! Checks can be made payable to Green Mountain Performing Arts and mailed to: Donations, GMPA, 37 Commercial Drive, Waterbury, VT 05676.
